Wood Decks, balconies or patios

• Wood decks and balconies and patios that are less than 30 inches should be enclosed or screened with a wire mesh of one 1/8 to 1/2 inch inch metallic material.
• Underneath wood decks, balconies and patios should be maintained free of any combustible material.
• Foundation to immediate landscape area. 
• Foundation to 15 feet away from structure.
• Remove pine needles and leaves within five feet of all structures deck or balconies less than 30 inches.
• Remove all combustible material within the first 15 feet around structure
• Remove all firewood around structure unless it is enclosed and a noncombustible container.  Firewood is required to be maintained 20  feet from a structure.
• Maintain all shrubs and tree that hang over or are adjacent to a structure from of dead burnable material.  Remove junipers or native shrubs within 15 feet of a structure, wood deck or balcony.
